Landek

Landek The observation tower is located on the Landek Hill, which has been national nature monument since 1992. The five-metre-high timber structure in the style of watchtowers of historical fortified settlements has been built in place of the former castle.

From the tower there is a fine view of not only the whole Ostrava but on a clear day also of the whole ridge up to the Těšín Beskydy (Těšínské Beskydy). The observation tower is a part of the nature trail near the Mining Museum.
