The Memorial to the Soldiers of the Eighth Silesian Infantry Regiment in Frýdek - Místek
This memorial is located on the site of Czajanek’s former textile plant that was rebuilt into barracks in 1934. On 14 March 1939, part of the Eighth Silesian Infantry Regiment was the only unit in the entire country to fight back while the armed German Wehrmacht took the Czech Republic.
